Good Friday

Thousands of years ago, it is said
an important man died
Whether He died for a higher purpose
or he was just like any other soul

Can't we get past this other worldly awe
the killing in the name of
a sense of unworthiness
the guilt and the judgment and the lore

And just admire his words?
