Because I am most assuredly not going to write anything new today, here's an old poem that I don't believe I've posted before.
Cold, hardened, beaten, untrue
I project all the villains' faces onto you
To forget that love and warmth
Once found solace there
But in wanting such a thing, alas
Forgetting becomes twice removed
And loops back in on itself
To crystallize the memory, and yet
The facets change all the time.
(October 14th, perhaps 2005?)
...
I made it through 81 pages of my summaries. Not bad. That leaves 50 to work on tomorrow, and I'm hoping to cut that down further still if I can plow through the two projects also due tomorrow. We'll see.
Other stuff is going on, I swear. Someday I'll talk about it. I just don't have the time right now.
