Choose Your Own Adventure
Apr. 17th, 2009 01:07 amRemember choose your own adventure?
You'd be reading along, and suddenly
there's a choice.
Turn to page 8 to go through the cave
mosey on to 17 to fight the dragon
or maybe flip to 23.
See what happens.
No matter what, you could go back
fold the corner of the page, promising
to see what you missed, but
the page you jumped to has its own choices,
different mazes to discover
so you read on and on.
A few pages, and you'll wind up stepping into the sun
grabbing the long-lost chalice
or maybe even getting the girl.
The end.
(But there's always the feeling that
maybe you could have chosen better
perhaps your story is one of many, so
you'll read again.)
