Side Effects

So I ended up with the day off today after all that. See what endless complaining can do? Eh, sorry. I'm trying to get into the mindset of planning not to have free time so I'm not disappointed by the mandatory overtime I'll be working all through session. A side effect of this kind of thinking is I'm pleasantly surprised when I don't have to work, so I guess it can't be all bad. Unfortunately, a side effect of not working today is tomorrow is supposed to be a really tough shift starting at 9:00 and ending whenever we get everything done, so I'm not sure when I'll get to come home. The rest of the week might be that way too, but it's what I signed up for. Life is being pretty awesome to me in a lot of ways, so I can't be too sad about it. I'll just have to see what happens and enjoy a lazy day in the meantime.
