Even if you take race out of the equation, this is still happening; and it's 2009. This sort of stuff makes me sick.

I love how there are a lot of people that go on and on about how soccer is the best sport, how us Americans are less sophisticated because we like baseball and American football. Yet they don't mention all the incredible violence and riots that occur due to soccer matches. Peru had a soccer riot awhile ago where 300 people ended up dieing. That would never happen at a baseball game here because the people watching are too fat to run around and riot.

Haha, no worries. It made sense to me! You make a good point about sports and obesity in America. I would be interested to see which sports have the most riot-related deaths. I think a chart would help put a lid on the whole "We're more sophisticated than you" debate. If soccer is so much more sophisticated, why are people so much more violent about it?
