Rules
1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
2. Tag six people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.

I stole this from frozendoll, and I'm also not tagging. Just looking for one last silly thing to do before bed.

01. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up.
My cats, Kiki and Olive
The cape I've been working on for a really long time now
Stack of magazines I haven't gotten around to looking at
Spray bottle (because my cats are jerks)
My television, which has Al Roker eating barbecue on it right now

02. What's the 3rd line on the 26th page of the book closest to you?
"color change is hard to predict, but peak colors leave a lasting impression. This wrap, with a shoulder-" From Nature's Wrapture: Contemporary Knitted Shawls

03. What are you wearing now?
Pajama pants with hearts on them, a blue t-shirt with wave pattern, thick socks and slippers (and my feet are still freezing somehow), and my green Dublin Bay hoodie

04. What's your occupation?
Document specialist (that's my technical title, proofreader if we're talking informally) and freelance legal assistant

05. What do you hear right now?
Some food show

06. What's your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Hmm. It depends what I'm craving. Lately it's been jelly bird eggs and way too many cookies.

07. Are you hungry?
Yeah. I don't know why. I've been eating crap all day.
(I'm kind of worried about all the processed food I've been eating, but at the same time, it's hard to get fresh food for dinner when I'm never sure if I'll be home or have to stay in my office. My office is stocked with Cup O' Noodles, soups, granola bars, and snack packs of cookies. I eat yogurt for breakfast and make my lunch every day, though, and have fruit or veggies then. I guess it's a wash.)

08. Write the first word that comes to mind:
Groan

09. Dog person or cat person?
I've always been more of a cat person. One of my nicknames as a kid was "cat lady" because I liked cats so much. My cats drive me nuts sometimes, but I wouldn't trade them for a dog. I mean, dogs are okay. I took care of my sister's super cute Maltese for a few years while she was away at culinary school, but dogs are too needy for my tastes.

10. What song is currently stuck in your head?
Nothing at the moment, surprisingly. This is just an attempt to make me think of whatever was last stuck in my head and get it stuck in my head again, isn't it?!

11. What was the last thing you bought?
Hmm... Groceries I think.

12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Wow, I don't know. There are so many places I want to see. I think if I could afford it, I would continually hop from place to place. This is probably less tiring in my head than it is in practice.

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 minutes?
Either still checking internet stuff or trying to convince myself to go to bed.

14. Last book you read?
I've been reading The Other Boleyn Girl for ages now, probably since before I moved a few months ago? That's sad. The book is good. It's just hard for me to read in my spare time at the moment because I read all day long. The last thing I want to do when I get home is pick up a book. I don't think it will be like that forever, though.

15. What are you doing this weekend?
Working. I have to go in at one tomorrow (which is actually pretty nice, since the boss said earlier in the week we might have to come in at eight both days), and I'm not sure when I'll get out, as usual. It's pretty much guaranteed that I'll be working Sunday as well because we have a big deadline on Tuesday. Yay.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
I used to really want to learn to play the violin, but I am not very good at keeping up with stringed instruments. At various times, I've played flute and piano, but I really just want to take up my clarinet again. I used to be pretty good at it. I need to find some time to do that.

17. How are you?
Tired mostly. A little bored and lonely too, I guess.

18. What do you want to happen?
I want to meet someone.
More realistically, I want to finish furnishing my house so I can have visitors.

19. What are you looking forward to the most?
The end of session and planning a vacation away from this state. Summer and warmer weather in general.

20. What's a skill you have that a lot of people don't know?
Interesting question. I'm not sure how to answer this, especially since I mentioned knitting and playing clarinet already. I tend to talk a lot about myself here, so I don't have a ton of "secret" skills I haven't analyzed at one point or another in an effort to understand myself. I think I'm actually better at talking about things I'm not good at, haha.

Wait! I am really good at picking up other people's moods, even when they don't necessarily know the way they're feeling themselves or are masking their true feelings. I don't always know the source of the feelings (which causes me some anxiety if I think I'm causing it), but I'm very accurate about the moods themselves. I'm pretty sure this is a natural trait, as I have been able to do it as long as I can remember but am not quite sure how it works. While somewhat useful, it can get pretty annoying sometimes.

Yeah, okay. This show sucks. Go to bed.
